Simba Player is available directly on the Samsung Store for Tizen-based Smart TVs — no sideloading or APK installation needed. Here's the complete setup.
1. Install from the Samsung Store
On your Samsung Smart TV, open the Samsung Store (sometimes labeled the Smart Hub or App Store depending on your TV's software version), search for Simba Player, and install it like any other app. See the download page for a direct link.
2. Launch the app and find your MAC address
Open Simba Player from your TV's app list. On first launch, it displays your TV's MAC address — this is what identifies your specific device. Need help locating it another way? See our MAC address guide (the same steps apply to Tizen, under Network settings).
3. Get your device key
Each device is paired with a device key for activation. If you don't already have one, reach out via the "Contact support" link on the Upload Playlist page.
4. Connect your playlist
From any browser or your phone, go to simbaplayer.com/device/login, enter your TV's MAC address and device key, then open Manage Playlists → Add Playlist and paste your M3U or M3U8 link.
5. Navigating with the Samsung remote
Tizen's remote uses the standard directional pad and select button — use it to browse your playlist entries the same way you'd navigate any other Samsung TV app. If a channel doesn't respond, double-check the stream link is still active.
Common Samsung-specific issues
- App not found in the store — make sure your TV's software is up to date; older Tizen versions may show a different store layout.
- Playback stutters — this is almost always a network or source-stream issue, not the app itself. Try a wired Ethernet connection for more stable streaming.
